Dr. Venu Sanon was born in Allahabad, India where she completed her schooling from St. Mary's Convent and accomplished her medical graduation with high honors in all subjects - culminating in a Doctorate in Pathology.
After marriage she shifted base to Mussoorie, a quaint town in the Himalayan foothills. Over the next thirty years, she found ways to balance her profession with family life and philanthropic pursuits. Her frequent visits to the Himalayan villages, along with her husband, served to direct her thoughts and perceptions towards introspection.
Along with her husband, Dr. Sunil Sanon, she founded the Divine Light Trust with the goal of supporting state-of-the-art medical and surgical care to the under-privileged, who often remain deprived of even basic health care.
With the same inspiration, as a consultant to the Manorama Devi Birla Charitable Trust, she visits remote himalayan settlements three times a week, providing medical services to the under-served.
Over the last decade, her inner self has found expression in poetry. Her love for nature, coupled with her insight into life and its struggle, surge as compassion in her words and lead to a spiritual destination.
