No air, no sound, no light of worth,
Cold dark silence everywhere;
Stars,planets, myriads of earths,
In motions planned with great care.

A deafening silence all around
No breath, no warmth, no voice;
Life, if present, in fetters bound,
To breathe it has no choice.

Then came the Word with a crashing roar!
The skies all did resound;
The suns they shivered to the core
And lent their light to sound.

Nature wiggled in its seed
And struggled to emerge;
The waters felt a pressing need
For oceans to submerge.

The Word with Divinity was infused
A sound of nature rare;
Its source and end could not be traced,
With infinity did compare.

Celestial music did resound
To fill the skies so bare;
Lightning flashed and thunder found
A reason to be there.

And all of this in motion set,
With the power of the word;
Its strength and magnitude to beget,
Unfathomed and unheard.
